This scheme saw Clegg working with Infrastructure Investments to manage the internal refurbishment and envelope modifications to sections of a multi-storey tower in central Leicester, creating 130 high quality student studios and a college facility on levels 4 and 5.
The undertaking of a series of remedial works to the building were also part of the contract works, including a new lift serving all floors. Works were completed on time and within budget.
Parts of the building remained occupied, including a Premier Inn at ground floor level. Access was shared between service deliveries and our contract works. We liaised closely with neighbouring businesses to minimise disruption.
Clegg’s professional and unobtrusiveapproach saw us score above the Constructing Excellence benchmark and receive a Performance Beyond Compliance certificate.
